Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na analýzu produktových portfolií strojírenských podniků, které působí v oblasti automobilového průmyslu. Hlavním cílem práce je vytvořit metodický postup optimalizace produktového portfolia na základě teoretických poznatků, vývoje situace na trhu a výsledků výzkumu. K zodpovězení výzkumných otázek ve výsledkové části je použita PEST analýza, finanční analýza, BCG matice a dotazníkové šetření. Tyto metody jsou východiskem ke stanovení dopadů pandemie COVID-19 na finanční situaci vybraných podniků, vlivu Zelené dohody pro Evropu na produktová portfolia vybraných podniků a zjištění preferencí potenciálních zákazníků. Bylo zjištěno, že pandemie COVID-19 významně zasáhla podniky působící v automobilovém průmyslu. Způsobila ochromení celého odvětví a s jejími následky se podniky vypořádávají dodnes. Podniky vyvíjejí snahu o přizpůsobování svých portfolií závazkům, které představuje Zelená dohoda pro Evropu a snaží se nabízet alternativy ke konvenčním spalovacím motorům. Zákazníci jsou v ohledu nabízených alternativních možností spíše zdrženliví a z transformace k bezemisní mobilitě mají obavy. Za přínos práce lze považovat uvedený metodický postup optimalizace produktového portfolia, který se dá obecně využít nejen ve strojírenském sektoru.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of product portfolios of companies operating in the automotive industry. The main goal of the work is to create a methodical procedure for optimizing the product portfolio based on theoretical knowledge, the development of the market situation and research results. PEST analysis, financial analysis, BCG matrix and questionnaire survey are used to answer the research questions in the results section. These methods are a starting point for determining the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the financial situation of selected companies, the impact of the Green Deal for Europe on the product portfolios of selected companies and determining the preferences of potential customers. It has been found that the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly affected businesses operating in the automotive industry. It crippled the entire industry, and businesses are still dealing with its consequences today. Companies are making efforts to adapt their portfolios to the commitments presented by the Green Deal for Europe and are trying to offer alternatives to conventional combustion engines. Customers are rather reserved regarding the alternative options offered and are concerned about the transformation to emission-free mobility. The contribution of the work can be the methodical procedure for optimizing the product portfolio, which can be generally used not only in the engineering sector.
