One Track Forward! Ethnography Of The Motorcycle Subculture In The Czech Republic Across Generations.

Abstract:

Tématem práce je motorkářská subkultura, historie vzniku této subkultury a její působení u nás v České republice. Práce pracuje s porovnáním pohledů mladších a starších jezdců na motorkářství. Zaměřuje se především na jejich motivaci k usednutí na stroj, způsob využívání motorek a vztah ke stroji. V práci se odkazuje na motivaci, rodinu, cestovní zvyklosti a sociální integraci v rámci skupiny.

Abstract:

The topic of the thesis is the biker subculture, the history of the emergence of this subculture and its activities in the Czech Republic. The work compares the views of younger and older riders on motorcycling. It focuses mainly on their motivation to get on the machine, the way of using motorbikes and their relationship to the machine.
