Magnetrónové naprašovanie pulzmi vysokého výkonu (HiPIMS) je jednou z metód fyzikálnej depozície z plynnej fázy, ktorá sa vyznačuje vysokou kvalitou deponovaných tenkých vrstiev. V plazme výboja je možné pozorovať samovoľný vznik nestabilít, bežne zvaných ionizačné centrá alebo spoky.
