Ira regis on the Example of Sigismund of Luxembourg

Abstract:

Tato práce si klade za cíl vysvětlit a objasnit specifický typ hněvu jménem Ira regis na příkladu krále Svaté říše římské Zikmunda Lucemburského. Analýzy s velkou podporou sociálních věd zasadí veškeré panovníkovo jednání do kontextu koncilu v Kostnici a počátku válek s husity. Vynikne schopnost vladaře řešit konflikty a prosazovat svoje pozice skrze instrumentálně řízený hněv. Rozbory také budou snažit osvětlit rozdíly mezi afektivním hněvem a zmíněným Ira regis, což ne vždy povede k jednoznačným interpretacím. Postupy v této práci mohou velmi pomoci v analýzách emocí vládců v období středověku

Abstract:

This work aims to explain the concept of Ira regis on the example of the personality of the King of the Holy Roman Empire Sigismund of Luxemburg through broad analyzes with social sciences and by placing it in the context of the monarch's rule during the Council of Constance and the beginning of the Hussite Wars. The portrait will show the ruler's extensive abilities to non-verbally influence those around him and achieve his goals that he would not normally achieve. Arguments will be made for the situations as to which of the two types of anger is specifically involved. The procedures in this work can represent an imaginary template for the interpretation of emotions for other rulers in the Middle Ages.
