Comparison of manual and mechanized defoliation and evaluation of the impact on the quality of grapes

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Porovnání ruční a mechanizované defoliace a hodnocení vlivu na kvalitu hroznů“ byla zpracována na Ústavu vinohradnictví a vinařství na Zahradnické fakultě Mendelovy univerzity v Brně v letech 2020 a 2021. Cílem této práce bylo porovnání ruční a mechanizované defoliace s následným vyhodnocením vlivu na kvalitu hroznů u moštové odrůdy Ryzlink rýnský. V popisné části jsou charakterizovány morfologické a fyziologické vlastnosti révy vinné, faktory ovlivňující pěstování révy vinné, zelené práce na vinici se zaměřením na defoliaci a kvalitativní parametry hroznů. Experiment byl částečně prováděn ve vinici patřící Vinařství Dufek ve Svatobořicích – Mistříně a částečně ve školní laboratoři. Vyhodnoceny byly kvalitativní parametry jako cukernatost, pH, titrovatelné kyseliny, obsah kyseliny vinné a jablečné, ale také velikost listové plochy, poškození hroznů slunečním zářením, napadení plísní šedou, senzorické hodnocení bobulí hroznů a porovnání ruční a mechanizované defoliace.

Abstract:

The thesis „Comparison of manual and mechanized defoliation and evaluation of the impact on the quality of grapes“ was prepared at the Mendel University in Brno, of the Institut of Viticulture and Enology of the Horticultural Faculty in 2020 and 2021 years. The aim of this work was to to compared manual defoliation and mechanized defoliation with subsequented evaluation of the effection the quality of grapes in the Riesling grape variety. In the description dealing with morfological and physiological properties of the vine, factor of influencing the cultivation of the vine, green works in the vineyard with a focuson defoliation and quantitative grapes parameters. The experiment was partly done in a vineyard belonging to the Dufek Winery in the Svatobořice - Mistřín village and partly in the Institute of Viticulture and Enology laboratory. Qualitative parameters such as sugar content, pH, titratable acids, tartaric and malic acid content, but also leaf size, sun damage to grapes, gray mold infestation, sensory evaluation of grape berries and comparison of manual and mechanized defoliation were evaluated also in this work.
