Macedonian nation-building and nationalism in the regional context
Abstract:
This thesis deals with Macedonian nation-building process since 1991 struggling with regional antagonism. Macedonia had to overcome the objections of the neighbouring states that questioned Macedonian stateness. The goal of the thesis is to explain and evaluate the nation-building process intended to secure the international recognition.

Práca sa venuje etablovaniu a budovaniu macedónskeho štátu od roku 1991 v podmienkach regionálneho antagonizmu. Macedónsko sa po osamostatnení muselo vyrovnať s postojom okolitých štátov, ktoré rôznym spôsobom spochybňovali jeho existenciu. Cieľom diplomovej práce je vniesť viac svetla do etablovania štátu v regióne i medzinárodnom systéme a zhodnotiť úspešnosť macedónskeho nacionalizmu v procese budovania …more
