Foreign investment protection from the EU perspective in the context of the ECT : a case study Yukos case.

Abstract:

The Bachelor Thesis presents the protection of foreign direct investment in the EU and defines relations between the external dimension of EEP and the Energy charter treaty. The access of the EU to protection of foreign direct investment is researching by a case study – Case Jukos. The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out how European Commission reflected this case and what is the impact of this action to external dimension of EEP.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá ochranou priamych zahraničných investícií z pohľadu EÚ. Práca definuje vzťah medzi vonkajšou dimenziou európskej energetickej politiky a Zmluvou o energetickej charte. Prístup EÚ k ochrane priamych zahraničných investícií autorka skúma na prípadovej štúdií - kauza Jukos. Hlavným výskumným cieľom práce je zistiť, ako Európska komisia reflektovala danú kauzu, a akým spôsobom sa to premietlo do prípadných zmien vonkajšej dimenzie EEP.
