Cílem práce je přiblížit čtenáři možnosti práva na obhajobu v českém trestním řízení. V práci jsou uvedeny otázky komparace současné právní úpravy s předchozí, vymezení práva na obhajobu ve významných mezinárodních předpisech, vymezení osoby obhájce a obviněného a jejich procesních možností obhajoby v jednotlivých fázích trestního řízení.
