Container Architecture as an alternative to the ecological constructing

Abstract:

Předmětem této diplomové práce je především představení kontejnerové architektury. Kontejnerová architektura je součástí tzv. modulární architektury. Kontejnerová architektura využívá jako stavební materiál přepravní námořní kontejnery. Představitelé této architektury zastávají názor, že se jedná o ekologicky šetrné stavitelství. Práce se tedy snaží toto tvrzení potvrdit. Je rozdělena do pěti kapitol, které popisují vznik, vývoj a současnost kontejnerové architektury, a to nejen ve světe, ale také v České republice. Nezbytnou součástí práce je definice a charakteristika pojmu „ekologická“ architektura. Je to velmi široký obor, který zahrnuje veškeré možné typy ekologicky šetrného stavitelství. Na základě těchto charakteristik se práce snaží kontejnerovou architekturu představit jako jeden z ekologicky šetrných přístupů stavitelství. Práce by nebyla úplná bez představení možných oblastí využití této specifické architektury a stavitelství. Dále také bez vyjádření alespoň některých architektů, kteří se jí věnují. Vyústěním práce je diskuze nad zjištěnými fakty a pohled na budoucnost využití kontejnerové architektury.

Abstract:

The main topic of this thesis is primarily present container architecture. Container architecture is part of so called modular architecture. Container architecture use as a building material transport shipping containers. Representatives of this architecture type of the opinion that it is kind of an environmentally friendly building. This thesis attempt to confirm this claim. Is divided to five main chapters, which describe the origin, development and present time of container architecture, not only in the world but also in the Czech Republic. An essential part of this thesis is defenition and description of the „ecological“ architecture term. It is a very broad field which includes all possible types of environmentally friendly construction. Based on these characteristics, the thesis seeks the container architecture as one of the environmentally friendly construction. This thesis would not be completed without showing possible areas of use of this specific architecture and construction. Also without statements of at least some of the architects who work with containers and container architecture. The main resutl of this thesis is discussion about mentioned facts and wiev to the future container architecure use.
