Tato práce se zabývá zpracováním druhé generace v díle Amy Tan Klub radosti a štěstí. Práce se především zaměřuje na analýzu problematiky asimilace, etnicity, identity u druhé generace. Dále je věnována pozornost střetu první a druhé generace s nastíněním důvodů, které jsou jeho příčinou. Stručně je také zmíněna historie čínsko-americké literatury a imigrace.Abstract:
The thesis deals with the second generation in Amy Tan's The Joy Luck Club. It primarily analyses the problem of the second generation in terms of assimilation, ethnicitz and identity. The thesis is also focused on the conflict between the first and the second generation, and it attempts to describe the reasons behind it.
