The Realization of Environmental Education in the children's clubs of Junák and Pionýr

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá environmentální výchovou v dětských organizacích, konkrétně pak v dětských oddílech Junáka a Pionýra, přičemž využívá kvalitativní analýzy rozhovorů s vedoucími takovýchto oddílů k odhalování způsobů, jakými se environmentální výchova v těchto oddílech realizuje. Teoretickým východiskem práce je Palmerovo členění environmentální výchovy do několika složek a oblastí, které jsou zaměřeny na odlišné výchovné cíle, ale navzájem se doplňují a tvoří harmonický celek. Z důrazu na určitou složku environmentální výchovy vychází členění hlavních směrů environmentální výchovy, které rovněž poskytuje teoretickou základnu pro empirickou část práce a interpretaci výsledků. Environmentální výchova v dětských oddílech Junáka a Pionýra vychází z dlouhé tradice výchovy v přírodě v těchto organizacích, její podoby však mohou být různé. Účelem empirické části práce je proto zkoumat a intepretovat jakými způsoby je environmentální výchova v těchto oddílech realizována z pohledu vedoucích.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with environmental education in the children’s organizations, more specifically, in the children’s clubs Junák and Pionýr, applying the method of qualitative analysis to the interviews given by the heads of these clubs. It leads to the description of different ways of the realization of environmental education in such clubs. The theoretical basis of this work is Palmer’s model of subdivision of environmental education into several components, which are focused on different pedagogical goals, whilst altogether composing a harmonical unit. The emphasis on a specific component of environmental education is the basis for division into several main streams of environmental education, which likewise provides the theoretical basis for the empirical part of this work and the interpretation of results. Environmental education in children’s clubs Junák and Pionýr comes from a long tradition of educating in the countryside. However, its forms can vary. Therefore the purpose of the empirical part of this work is to explore and interpret the ways of realization of environmental education in these children’s clubs from their heads‘ points of view.
