Analysis of agricultural financing and its importance for the National economy of the Czech Republic throughout the years 2000-2017.

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je analýza způsobů financování zemědělství a zhodnocení jeho významu pro národní hospodářství České republiky v letech 2000-2017. Zemědělci mají možnost získat celou řadu dotací a zapojit se do různých programů. Největší částka dotací je vyplácena v rámci Přímých plateb a jedním z nejvýznamnějších programů je Program rozvoje venkova. Zvolená hypotéza pro tuto práci zní, že dotace do zemědělství rostou, ačkoliv jeho význam pro národní hospodářství a podíl na HDP se snižuje. Daná hypotéza byla v této práci potvrzena. Z dlouhodobého hlediska lze říct, že ve sledovaném období došlo k nárůstu dotací, zároveň však klesl podíl zemědělství na HDP z 2,28 % roku 2000 na 1,76 % roku 2017, klesá i zaměstnanost v zemědělství z 224 991 osob roku 2000 na 163 128 osob roku 2017. Přestože se agrární zahraniční obchod vyznačuje záporným saldem, tak jeho podíl na celkovém zahraničním obchodu vzrostl z 4,24 % roku 2000 na 5,30 % roku 2017.

Abstract:

The goal of this thesis is to analyze the ways of financing of agriculture and evaluating it’s importance for the national economy of the Czech Republic throughout the years 2000-2017. The farmers have opportunity to claim various spectrum of subsidies and to participate in different programs. The biggest amount of money is paid within the Direct transactions, one of the most important programs is called The Rural Development Program. The chosen hypothesis for this thesis is that subsidies sent into agriculture are increasing, eventhough the significance of agriculture for the national economy and it´s share on GDP is decreasing. The hypothesis was in this thesis confirmed. From the long-term point of view, it is possible to say, that in the studied period of time increase of subsidies and decrease of the share of agriculture on GDP was observed. The share size went from 2,28% in 2000 to 1,76% in 2017. The number of employed people in agriculture is also on descent with 224 001 farmers in 2000 and 163 128 people working in agriculture in 2017. The agrarian foreign trade is charecterized by negative balance in the whole monitored period of time. On the contrary, the share of the agrarian foreign trade on the total foreign trade has grown from 4,24% in 2000 to 5,30 % in 2017.
