Clostridium difficile (C. difficile) je anaerobní střevní bakterie spojená s významnou morbiditou a mortalitou u dospělých. Navzdory narůstajícímu trendu klostridiových kolitid (CDI), v důsledku předpokládané nezralosti střevní sliznice zůstávají děti v kojeneckém a batolecím věku k nemoci poměrně rezistentní. Abstract:
Clostridium difficile (C. difficile) is an anaerobic intestinal bacterium associated with significant morbidity and mortality in adults. Despite an increasing trend in Clostridium difficile infections (CDI), children under 3 years of age remain quite resistant to the disease due to presumed immature intestinal mucosa.
