The role of intelligence services during the Cold War in Afghanistan

Anotace:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o roli zpravodajských služeb během studené války v Afghánistánu, jejich působnosti a činností. V práci je mimo jiné věnován velký prostor samotné studené válce a historii zpravodajských služeb. Cílem této práce bylo přiblížit jejich roli nejen za této války, ale mimo ni.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is concerned with the role of intelligence agencies in Afghanistan during the Cold War, describes their activities and fields of operation. The thesis also focuses on the Cold War itself, puts the greatest emphasis on the history of intelligence agencies within the scope of major Cold War events. The thesis' primary research goal is to analyze and explain not only the role of intelligence agencies in the Cold War, but also the general role they fulfill in modern times.
