Graffiti – self realisation or vandalism

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se snaží přiblížit subkulturu sprejerů z více perspektiv. Cílem práce je zmapovat a co nejvíce poznat subkulturu sprejerů, jejich motivaci a potřeby, způsob vyjadřování postojů a rizikovost jejich chování, proniknout do struktury skupiny a skupinové dynamiky. Nejprve je v práci popsána teorie a úskalí dospívání, především vliv skupiny a rodičů na jedince. Následuje teorie získání identity podle E. Eriksona a teorie motivace a potřeb A. Maslowa s aplikací na skupinu sprejerů. V další kapitole hovořím o rizikovém chování a poruchách chování z pohledu etopedie. Nakonec popisuji subkulturu sprejerů, jejich strukturu a základní informace o nich. Jako metodu pro výzkum jsem zvolila kvalitativní přístup - polostandardizovaný rozhovor. V závěru práce jsou potvrzeny výzkumné otázky týkající se motivace k činnosti, přátelských vazeb ve skupině, znalosti právních postihů a trvalosti aktivity.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis tries to approach the graffiti subculture from multiple perspectives. An aim of the thesis is to describe and to identify as much of the graffiti subculture. Motivation and needs of the writers, the way of expressing their attitudes and the risk of their behavior, to penetrate into the group structure and dynamics are distinguished. First theory and difficulties of adolescence, especially the influence of group and parents on an individual is mentioned. Then theory of identity (according to Erikson) and motivations (on a base of Maslow needs hierarchy) modified for the case of graffiti creators are described. In the next chapter risk behavior and behavioral disorders from the point of special need education science ethopedy is analysed. Finally the graffiti subculture, its structure and basic information is described. The research was realized by qualitative strategy – by semistandardized interwiev. In conclusion of the thesis the ressearch questions relating to motivation to the graffiti-connected activities, friendly relations in group, knowledge of legal sanctions and to persistence of this activity are confirmed.
