Qualification requirements of employers for workers in the health tourism

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na kvalifikační požadavky, které zaměstnavatelé kladou na pracovníky ve zdravotně orientovaném cestovním ruchu. Cílem práce je dané požadavky identifikovat, a to v oblasti zdravotně orientovaného cestovního ruchu a následně konkrétně v oblasti managementu lázeňského cestovního ruchu. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část popisuje základní pojmy a definice související se zdravotně orientovaným cestovním ruchem a jeho pododvětvími, kterými jsou lázeňský, wellness a zdravotní cestovní ruch. Dále obsahuje kapitolu týkající se kvalifikace, ve které je specifikována odborná, psychická a morální způsobilost a kapitolu zabývající se trhem práce v tomto odvětví. Praktická část obsahuje dva výzkumy, z nichž první se soustředí na celé odvětví zdravotně orientovaného cestovního ruchu a druhý již konkrétně na oblast managementu lázeňského cestovního ruchu. První výzkum je kvantitativní a byl proveden ve spolupráci s vysokou školou v Deggendorfu v Německu. Jeho výsledkem je zjištění kvalifikačních požadavků zaměstnavatelů na pracovníky ve zdravotně orientovaném cestovním ruchu. Druhý výzkum je kvalitativní a jeho výstupem je identifikování kvalifikačních požadavků na pracovníky v oblasti managementu lázeňského cestovního ruchu. V závěru práce jsou poskytnuta doporučení, která mohou následovat jak pracovníci, tak zaměstnavatelé či vyučující.

Abstract:

The master’s thesis focuses on the qualification requirements that employers place on workers in health tourism. The aim of the thesis is to identify these requirements in the field of health tourism and specifically in the area of spa tourism management. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes basic terms and definitions related to health tourism and its sub-sectors, which include spa, wellness and medical tourism. It also includes a chapter on qualifications, specifying professional, psychological and moral competence, as well as a chapter on the labor market in this industry. The practical part includes two researches, the first of which focuses on the entire health tourism, while the second specifically examines the qualifications required for workers in the field of spa tourism management. The first research is quantitative and was conducted in collaboration with the Deggendorf Institute of Technology in Germany. Its results identify the qualification requirements that employers place on workers in health tourism. The second research is qualitative and its output is the identification of qualification requirements for workers in the field of spa tourism management. The thesis concludes with recommendations that can be followed by workers, employers or educators.
