Methods of defence against Internet illegal spread of software, music and movies

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Metody obrany proti nelegálnímu šíření softwaru, hudby a filmů přes Internet“ pojednává o aktuálním celosvětovém problému porušování autorských práv prostřednictvím sítě Internet. V práci je základní vymezení pojmu počítačová kriminalita, rozdělení typů „pirátů“ i pirátství, jsou tu uvedeny internetové nástroje, které sdílení umožňují: peer to peer sítě, webové stránky a FTP servery. Dále jsou tu uvedeny české, britské, americké a mezinárodní instituce, které se specializují na dohled nad dodržováním autorských práv. Uvedeny jsou základní právní předpisy v ČR, USA a Evropské unii, které upravují oblast ochrany práv autorů. V rámci metod obrany jsou dále popsány informační a vzdělávací kampaně, legální alternativy šíření a stahování autorsky chráněných děl v Internetu a technologické prostředky proti nelegálnímu kopírování. Zmíněny jsou také vyšetřovací postupy, postihy pachatelů a příklady skutečných případů. Závěr tvoří výhled možných budoucích metod boje proti internetovému pirátství.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis „Methods of defence against Internet illegal spread of software, music and movies“ deals with actual global problem of breaking copyright through Internet. There are the basic definition of term computer crime, typology of pirates and piracy, internet tools enabling sharing: peer to peer nets, web sites and FTP server, in this work. There are also czech, british, american and international institutions, specialized in oversight of maintain copyright. Basic legal rules in Czech Republic, USA and Europe Union of protection copyrights are specified too. Within framework methods of defence are specified information and education campaigns, legal alternatives of Internet spread and download copyright´s works and technical tools used against illegal copying. There are also investigation processes, wrongdoer´s punishments and real cases of internet piracy. The conclusion creates prospect of possible future methods of fight against internet piracy.
