Abstract:
Tumor necrosis factor is one of the most important pro-inflammatory cytokines of the innate immune system. We tested several species of ticks for anti-tumour necrosis factor- activity in this study. The specific activity was proved for Ixodes ricinus saliva and several other species. We also tested dynamics of this specific activity in Ixodes ricinus saliva.
