Evaluation functionality families of hospitalized children

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem práce bylo zmapovat funkčnost rodin u hospitalizovaných dětí. Dále zjistit, zda funkčnost rodiny ovlivňuje chování dítěte během hospitalizace v nemocnici a jestli se u dětí z problémových rodin vyskytují známky týrání, zneužívání či zanedbávání péče. Metodika: Byla zvolena kvantitativní metoda výzkumu. Pro sběr empirických dat byl použit standardizovaný, aktualizovaný dotazník funkčnosti rodiny (DFR) a nestandardizovaný dotazník pro dětské a všeobecné sestry. Výzkumný soubor byl tvořen 59 rodinami a 59 všeobecnými a dětskými sestrami, které pracovaly na dětském standardním oddělení a dětské JIP ve Vítkovické nemocnici. Ke statistickému zpracování hypotéz byl použit statistický software SPSS verze 15, SPSS Inc. Chicago, USA. Pro ověření hypotéz byla data uspořádána do kontingenčních tabulek a následně byly provedeny Fisherovy přesné testy. Výsledky: Z celkových výsledků šetření vyplynulo, že 61 % rodin hospitalizovaných dětí bylo funkčních, 31 % rodin bylo problémových, 5 % rodin bylo dysfunkční a 3 % rodin byly dokonce afunkční. Funkčnost rodin hospitalizovaných dětí byla ovlivněna složením rodiny, stabilitou rodiny, ekonomickou situací, zdravotním stavem a vývoj hospitalizovaného dítěte. Výzkumné šetření dále prokázalo souvislost mezi funkčností rodiny a chováním dítěte a také známkami týrání, zneužívání či zanedbávání. Příznaky syndromu CAN byly prokázány u dvou hospitalizovaných dětí. Obě dvě děti pocházely z afunkčních rodin. Byl hodnocen i zájem a péče rodičů o dítě. Závěr: Zdravotnický pracovník pomůže dětem z nefunkčních rodin především tak, že včas a správně diagnostikuje poruchy funkce rodiny, identifikuje rizikové rodiny, rodiče a děti, rozezná příznaky syndromu CAN.

Abstract:

Aim: The aim of my work was the charting of the family functionality at children who are hospitalized to the hospital. I wanted to know if the family functionality could influence the child?s behaviour in the hospital and whether the children?s abuse and neglecting from problematic families could be found. Methodology: It was chosen the quantitative research methods. For the empirical data collection was used the standartized questionnaire of the family functionality (DFR) and the unstandardized questionnaire for practical nurses. The research sample was made from 59 families and 59 practical nurses who work for the children?s ward and children?s intensive care unit in Vítkovice hospital. For the processing of hypothesis was used the statistical software SPSS version 15, SPSS Inc. Chicago, USA. After the verifying of the hypothesis the data were arranged into the contingency tables and the Fischer's exact tests were carried out. Results: 61 % families, whose children were addmitted to the hospital, were functional, 31 % were problematic, 5 % were dysfunction and 3 % were afunctional. The family functionality was impacted by the family structure, the family stability, the economic situation, health and child development. The survey also showed the connection between the family functionality and the child?s behaviour as well as abuse and neglecting. The CAN syndrome was proved at two child patients. Both children grow up in the afunctional family. Conclusion: Healthcare workers can help to children from dysfunction families in case of well-timed and right diagnostics of the family?s failure, the identification of familial risk and the recognition of the CAN syndrome.
