Intercultural differences between young Vietnamese and young adults from multicultural marriage in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vnímáním rozdílů mladých dospělých ve věku od 20 - 30 let z vietnamského a ze smíšeného manželství v Česku. Cílem bakalářské práce je přiblížení a porovnání pohledů těchto dvou skupin na život v Česku a také zobrazení rozdílů mezi těmito dvěma skupinami. Bakalářská práce nejprve pro pochopení spojitostí popisuje stručně vietnamskou migraci do České republiky. Stěžejními úseky teoretické části jsou poté kapitoly věnující se různým jazykovým či kulturním oblastem, jako jsou například smíšená identita nebo přijetí svými příbuznými ve Vietnamu, ve kterých jsou popisovány názory obou skupin. Pomocí dotazníkového šetření a rozhovorů jsou poté tyto názory a pohledy těchto dvou cílových skupin na dosud ne úplně prozkoumaná určitá společná témata srovnány. Bakalářská práce rovněž uvádí plné přepisy rozhovorů, které umožňují čerpat z práce jako z primárního zdroje.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the perception of differences between young adults aged between 20 to 30 from Vietnamese and mixed marriages in the Czech Republic. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to approach and compare the views of these two groups on life in the Czech Republic, as well as to show the differences between these two groups. The bachelor's thesis first describes briefly the Vietnamese migration to the Czech Republic in order to understand the connections. The core sections of the theoretical part are then chapters devoted to various linguistic or cultural areas, such as mixed identity or acceptance by their relatives in Vietnam, in which the views of both groups are described. Using a questionnaire survey and interviews, these opinions and views of these two target groups on certain common topics that have not yet been fully explored are then compared. The bachelor's thesis also presents full transcripts of the interviews, which make it possible to draw on the thesis as a primary source.
