Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce pojednává o environmentálním managementu v hotelu jako o novém způsobu provozu ubytovacích služeb, který svými činnostmi směřuje ke snižování negativních dopadů na životní prostředí. Hlavním cílem práce je odpovědět na otázku: „Jak manažeři ve vybraných hotelech hodnotí zavedení environmentálního managementu?“ Celý text je rozdělen do dvou celků. První teoretická část obsahuje vysvětlení základních pojmů, souvislostí cestovního ruchu s životním prostředím a environmentální společenské odpovědnosti. Další kapitoly se věnují popisu environmentální politiky, aspektů a možností zavedení environmentálního managementu. Druhá empirická část se zaměřuje na stanovení cílů výzkumu, otázek výzkumu, vhodné metody a jednotek zjišťování. V následné analýze interpretuji sesbíraná data a porovnávám je s teoretickými předpoklady. Závěr práce obsahuje shrnutí výsledků a odpovědi na hlavní i vedlejší otázky.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the environmental management in hotels as a new way of operation of accommodation services which its activities tends to reduce negative impacts on the environment. The main objective of this work is to answer the question: „How managers in selected hotels do evaluate the introduction of environmental management?“ The whole text is divided into two parts. The first part provides a theoretical explanation of basic terms, the context of the tourism with the environment and the environmental social responsibility. Other chapters are devoted to the description of the environmental policy, aspects and the possibility of implementing the environmental management. The second empirical part focuses on establishing research goals, research questions, appropriate methods and observation units. In a subsequent analysis I interpret the collected data and compare them with theoretical assumptions. The conclusion of this work summarizes results and responses to main and subsidiary questions.
