Hypogeum at Via Livenza
Abstract:
Hypogeum Via Livenza asi z poloviny IV. století je zdobeno pohanskou freskou a mozaikou s křesťanským motivem. Jeho podstatnou součástí je nepřístupná vodní nádrž. Cílem práce je přispět k diskuzi o funkci tohoto pozdně antického polopodzemního prostoru na římském předměstí, určeného nejdříve jako svatyně orientální sekty, poté jako křesťanské baptisterium a v posledních studiích jako nymfeum.
Abstract:
Hypogeum Via Livenza dated around the middle of the fourth century is decorated with pagan frescoes and a christian mosaic. Also, another significant component is the inaccessible water basin.
