Vztah Evžena Savojského a Josefa I

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou vztahu vojevůdce maršála habsburské armády Evžena Savojského k panovníkům Leopoldu I. a Josefu I. V první části práce je sledováno dětství všech tří osobností a hledány možné předpoklady budoucího vztahu. Na základě politických aktivit a vzájemných interakcí je následně definován poměr Evžena Savojského k Leopoldovi I., jenž se pohyboval na úrovni vzájemného respektu, byť Evžen nijak nezastíral své odlišné stanovisko na náboženské otázky, způsob vedení války i politickou praxi. V daleko větším souladu se tak byl s Josefem I., s nímž ho pojil jak obdobný světonázor, tak také shodný náhled na vojenství i politiku. Tato skutečnost je podepřena srovnáním s Josefovým bratrem a nástupcem Karlem VI., kdy se vzájemný vztah pohyboval na ryze profesionální úrovni.

Abstract:

The graduate work deals with the analysis of the relationship between the commander of the Habsburg Army, Marshal Eugene of Savoy and the rulers Leopold I. and Josef I. The first part of the work is describing the childhood of all three leaders and the possibilities of a future relationship. On the basis of political activities and mutual interactions, the ratio of Eugene of Savoy to Leopold I, which moved on to the level of mutual respect, was defined, although Evžen did not observe his different opinion on religious issues, by the military and political practices. In much greater consistency he was with Joseph I, with whom he had a similar and consistent worldview of military and politics. This fact is supported by a comparison between him and his brother and successor, Charles VI., there the relationship was on a purely professional level.
