Neuro-psychological strain for anesthesia and perioperative nurses

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem bakalářské práce bylo zjistit stupeň neuropsychické zátěže u anesteziologických a perioperačních sester, objasnit faktory ovlivňující tuto zátěž, zjistit stupeň spokojenosti s povoláním anesteziologické a perioperační sestry a zjistit, zda se stupeň zátěže liší podle délky praxe na operačních sálech. Metodika: Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 57 anesteziologických a perioperačních sester pracujících v Městské nemocnici Ostrava. Pro sběr dat jsme použili standardizovaný dotazník W. Meistera ? Percepce pracovní zátěže. Výsledky: Výsledky průzkumného šetření byly získány analýzou 57 dotazníků, které byly vráceny z celkového počtu 70. Návratnost byla 81 %. Z výsledků průzkumného šetření vyplynulo, že stupeň pracovní zátěže u anesteziologických a perioperačních sester je č. 1 - mírná zátěž. Jedná se tedy o psychickou zátěž, při které není pravděpodobné ovlivnění zdraví, ale nejsou vyloučené situačně podmínění výkyvy v průběhu pracovní doby. Nejvíce anesteziologické a perioperační sestry trápí časová tíseň a pocit zodpovědnosti. Naopak sestry podle vyhodnocení faktoru - monotonie nacházejí ve své profesi uspokojení, právě proto uvažují pouze 2 sestry o odchodu ze zdravotnictví. Dále jsme z výsledků zjistili, že stupeň neuropsychické zátěže u sester s délkou praxe delší než 20 let je nižší. Závěr: Z výsledků průzkumného šetření vyplynulo, že jsou jen malé rozdíly mezi zatěžujícími faktory a překročení limitu mediánu došlo jen u položky č. 1 ? časová tíseň a položky č. 10 ? dlouhodobá únosnost. Dále jsme z výsledků zjistili, že stupeň neuropsychické zátěže u sester s délkou praxe delší než 20 let je nižší než u sester s délkou praxe kratší.

Abstract:

Objective: The objective of the bachelor thesis was to find out the degree of neuropsychological load of anaesthesiological and perioperative nurses, to clarify the factors affecting such burden, to identify the degree of satisfaction with the profession of anaesthesiological and perioperative nurses and to find out whether the degree of burden differs with respect to the length of practical experience in operating rooms. Methodology: The research group consisted of 57 anaesthesiological and perioperative nurses working in the Municipal Hospital of Ostrava. We used a standardized questionnaire of W. Meister ? Perception of workload ? for data collection. Results: The research results were obtained by the analysis of 57 questionnaires returned out of a total of 70. The return rate was 81 %. The research results showed that the degree of workload of anaesthesiological and perioperative nurses is no. 1 ? moderate load. So this represents a psychological burden where health is unlikely to be affected, but fluctuations due to a particular situation during working hours may not be excluded. Time stress and the feeling of responsibility worries the anaesthesiological and perioperative nurses the most. On the contrary, nurses are satisfied with their profession according to the evaluation factor monotony. This is the reason why just 2 nurses intend to leave the health system. Furthermore, we found out that the degree of neuropsychological burden of nurses with practical experience of more than 20 years is lower. Conclusion: The research results showed that there are just minor differences between stress factors and the exceeding of the median limit for the item no. 1 ? time stress - and the item no. 10 ? long-term burden. Moreover, we found out that the degree of neuropsychological burden of nurses with practical experience of more than 20 years is lower than of nurses with shorter practical experience.
