This dissertation deals with the study of antimicrobial effectiveness of modified cellulose and hyaluronan materials on the most common microorganism found in chronic wounds. The first part is dedicated to cellulose materials with various modifications that should have an antimicrobial effect on certain bakteria and yeast Candida albicans, and to bacteria isolated from chronic wounds.
