The effect of anticoagulant therapy on the examination activated parcial tromboplastine time

Abstract:

Aktivovaný parciální tromboplastinový čas (APTT) je základní koagulační test, který monitoruje vnitřní koagulační cestu, faktory XII, XI, IX, VIII, prekalikrein-kalikrein systém a vysokomolekulární kininogen. APTT je nejčastěji používaným testem k monitorování antikoagulační léčby heparinem. Antikoagulační léčba zabraňuje vzniku trombu. Jedná se o léčebná opatření, která snižují zvýšenou tendenci ke krevnímu srážení. Naším cílem práce bylo zjistit, jak ovlivňuje antikoagulační léčba výsledky časů APTT a dalších koagulačních testů. Cílem bylo také zjistit, zda způsob zpracování plasmy před vyšetřením ovlivní výsledky APTT. Posuzovaný soubor tvoří výsledky koagulačního vyšetření pacientů léčených antikoagulační léčbou, kteří byli vyšetřeni v laboratoři OKH ÚLD FN Ostrava. Ze statistického vyhodnocení je patrné, že antikoagulační léčba ovlivňuje výsledky koagulační testů, v závislosti na druhu antikoagulační léčby. Byly také zjištěny rozdíly mezi koagulačními časy APTT zpracovanými do 1 hodiny a do 2 hodin po odběru krve, i když z klinického hlediska nejsou rozdíly statisticky významné.

Abstract:

The activated partial tromboplastin time (APTT) is a basic coagulation tests that monitors the internal coagulation pathway and factors XII, XI, IX, VIII, prekalikrein-kalikrein systém and high-molecular kininogen. APTT is most often used to monitoring heparin anticoagulant therapy. Anticoagulation therapy prevents thrombus formation. These are therapeutic measures that reduce the increased tendency to blood clotting. Our aim was to find out how anticoagulation treatment affects the results of APTT and other coagulation tests. The aim was also to find out whether the plasma treatment method prior to testing will affect APTT results. The assessed file is the results of the coagulation examination of patients treated with anticoagulant treatment, which were examined in the laboratory of OKH ÚLD FN Ostrava. Statistical analysis shows that anticoagulation treatment affects the results of coagulation tests, depending on the type of anticoagulant therapy. Differences between coagulation times of APTT processed up to 1 hour and up to 2 hours after blood collection were also found, although the differences are not statistically significant from the clinical point of view.
