Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce s názvem ?Okolnosti operace Dunaj v Karlových Varech a její důsledky? je na základě archivních dat a dalších dostupných historických pramenů jako např. dobových tiskovin ale i pamětníků rekonstruovat krizové srpnové události ve městě. V práci bych se prve pokusil nastínit atmosféru ve městě ? kulturní život aj. v kontextu uvolňujících se poměrů ?Pražského jara? (př.: 16. MFF Karlovy Vary), vliv Západu na dění ve městě před a po srpnu 1968, vliv vpádu vojsk na turistický ruch. Na základě dochovaných fotografií bych se pokusil analyzovat ?lidovou tvořivost? karlovarských obyvatel, aneb jakým způsobem vyslovovali místní svůj nesouhlas s příjezdem tanků do města. Je zřejmé, že události v Karlových Varech nebyly tak dramatické jako v Praze, přesto se zde naskýtá otázka, kolik lidí bylo během srpna 1968 zraněno, zatčeno nebo dokonce usmrceno. Důležitým úkolem bude zjistit, jakým způsobem a jestli vůbec se změnila správa města (výměna postů) v následné normalizaci, jaký vliv měla okupace na turistický ruch (skladba hostů) a kulturní život ? následná omezení apod. Dále mi byly doporučeny prameny k činnosti karlovarské StB, od nichž si slibuji mnoho podrobností. Z pramenů vyplývá, že celá řada příslušníků byla ztotožněna s myšlenkami Pražského jara a demokratizací, proto někteří z nich dokonce po srpnu 1968 emigrovali. Karlovy Vary byly také místem důležitých mezistátních setkáních mezi představiteli SSSR a ČSSR, mě budou zajímat především okolnosti návštěvy sovětského předsedy vlády Kosygina.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis entitled "Circumstances Operation Danube in Karlovy Vary and its consequences" is based on archival data and other available historical sources such as contemporary prints as well as witnesses to reconstruct critical event in August. At work I had earlier tried to outline the atmosphere in the city - the cultural life of others in the context of releasing the ratio of the "Prague Spring" (example: 16th Karlovy Vary), Western influence on life in the city before and after August 1968, the impact of the invasion troops on tourism. Based on surviving photographs I tried to analyze the "people's creativity" Carlsbad residents, or how voiced his disagreement with the local arrival of tanks in the city. It is clear that the events in Karlovy Vary were not as dramatic as in Prague, but here the question arises, how many people were injured during August 1968, arrested or even killed. An important task will be to determine how and if at all changed the city administration (mail exchange) in the subsequent normalization of the impact of the occupation had on tourism (track rating), and cultural life - following restrictions etc. In addition, I have been recommended springs to action Carlsbad StB from whom I expect a lot of detail. The sources indicate that a number of members was identified with the ideas of the Prague Spring, democratization, because some of them even after they emigrated in August 1968. Karlovy Vary was also the venue of various international meetings between representatives of the USSR and Czechoslovakia, I will be particularly interested in the circumstances of visiting Soviet Prime Minister Kosygin.
