This thesis is a thematic analysis of the selected works by John Steinbeck, focused on the critique of consumerism, materialism and commercialized society. The thesis examines various forms of materialism, its aspects and especially the impacts of the materialistic lifestyle on individuals, society and nature. Abstract:
Tato práce je tematickou analýzou vybraných děl Johna Steinbecka, přičemž se zaměřuje na kritiku konzumerismu, materialismu a zkomercializované společnosti. Práce zkoumá různé podoby materialismu, jeho aspekty a zejména důsledky tohoto životního stylu na jednotlivce, společnost i přírodu. Cílem práce je identifikovat a interpretovat relevantní tematické prvky ve vybraných dílech.
