Characterization of electrochemical gas sensors

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou elektrochemických senzorů plynů. V první části jsou uvedeny informace o principu fungování elektrochemického senzoru. Dále jsou detailněji popsány dva základní principy fungování, kterými jsou potenciometrie a amperometrie. Důraz je kladen zejména na amperometrické senzory, které jsou pro tuto práci hlavním tématem. V následující části práce jsou popsány parametry těchto senzorů a jsou diskutovány faktory jejich ovlivnění, jako je například vlhkost analytu, objemový průtok analytu měřicí komorou nebo teplota. Na základě poznatků v teoretické části práce je dále popisována navržená metodika měření. Je zde diskutován průběh měření společně s navrženými měřicími profily. Následující část práce se věnuje testování senzorů. V této kapitole jsou obsaženy výsledky měření v podobě tabulek a grafů. V poslední kapitole jsou diskutovány výsledky měření a vlivy okolních podmínek na vybrané parametry senzorů.

Abstract:

The master thesis deals with electrochemical gas sensors. The first part provides information about the principle of electrochemical sensor. Two basic principles of operation, namely potentiometry and amperometry, are described in detail. In particular, amperometric sensors function is described, which are the main topic for this work. The following part describes the parameters of these sensors and discusses the influencing factors, such as humidity, flow rate or temperature. Based on the knowledge in the theoretical part of the thesis, the proposed measurement methodology is described. Next the measuring procedure is outlined together with courses of measurement. The following part of the thesis describes testing of sensors. This chapter contains the results of measurements in the form of tables and graphs. The last chapter discusses the measurement results and the effects of environmental conditions on selected sensor parameters.
