Line integral: theory and examples

Abstract:

In this bachelor thesis we study line integral. The first part of the work discusses the theory of curves. It is then subsequently used to define line integrals of functions and line integrals of vector fields. The paper describes their structure, properties and use in practice. Further we describe Green's theorem and the conditions necessary for the line integral to be independent of the path. Special attention is paid to the use of the line integral of vector fields as a way of measuring of the change in consumer's surplus when prices of goods change. Each part includes solved examples and unsolved examples designed for individual practice.

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci zkoumáme křivkový integrál. První část práce se zabývá samotnou teorií křivek. Tu následně využíváme k zadefinování křivkového integrálu prvního a druhého druhu. V práci je popsaná jejich konstrukce, vlastnosti a využití v praxi. Dále popisujeme Greenovu větu a podmínky potřebné pro nezávislost křivkového integrálu od integrační cesty. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována využití křivkového integrálu druhého druhu jakožto způsobu měření změny spotřebitelského přebytku při změně cen tovaru. Každá část obsahuje řešené příklady i neřešené příklady určené pro samostatné vypracování.
