Two Treatises by Tomáš Štítný from the Sázava Manuscript. The Individual and Society of the High Middle Ages
Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá dvěma traktáty Tomáše Štítného o stavech. Jedná se o traktát O hospodáři, hospodyni a čeledi a O trojím stavu: panenském, vdovském a manželském. Práce vysvětluje myšlenky v nich obsažené a srovnává je se soudobou realitou. Dále práce analyzuje typické prvky stylu Tomáše Štítného, jejich účel a účinek na čtenáře.
Abstract:
The thesis focuses on the two treatises which are related to the ordinary medieval people. They are entitled O hospodáři, hospodyni a čeledi and O trojím stavu: panenském, vdovském a manželském. The thesis explains the ideas of the treatises and compares them to the medieval reality. It also analyzes the typical features of Tomáš Štítný’s style, as well as their functions and impact on the reader.
