Children's Reading and Acctivities of Czech Book Fairs for its Support

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Dětské čtenářství a aktivity českých knižních veletrhů na jeho podporu“ se zabývá problematikou dětského čtenářství se zřetelem na jeho podporu, kterou svojí činností vyvíjí knižní veletrhy. Připomíná důležitost dětského čtenářství pro vývoj každého jedince a poukazuje na nutnost čtenářství podporovat. Teoretická část se věnuje základním pojmům z oblasti dětského čtenářství, charakteristice jednotlivých věkových kategorií dětí z hlediska jejich přístupu k četbě a nabízí přehled metod práce se čtenářem, které mohou být uplatňovány při působení na ně. Praktická část je zaměřena na české knižní veletrhy, jejich programy a aktivity pro děti. Informuje o tom, jaké metody působení na dětského čtenáře nejčastěji využívají. Vyvrcholením praktické části je výzkum provedený na Veletrhu dětské knihy 2008, který zjišťuje postoj dětských návštěvníků k veletrhu a jeho aktivitám. Výsledky výzkumu naznačují, které z metod jsou nejefektivnější a jaké formy působení by tedy knižní veletrhy měly k podpoře dětského čtenářství volit.

Abstract:

Bachelor’s thesis „Children’s reading and activities of Czech book fairs for its support” deals with the issue of children’s reading with respect to its support, which is pursued by activity of book fairs. It reminds the importance of children’s reading for evolution of each person and adverts to the urgency of supporting the reading. Theoretic part of the thesis attends to basic concepts in the area of child reading, it characterizes particular age groups of children from the view of their attitude towards reading and it offers table of methods of working with a reader, which can be used to affect them. Practical part of the thesis is focused on the Czech book fairs, its programs and activities for the children. It brings the information about their methods of working with young reader, which are used most frequently. Flash point of the practical part is the research discharged on The Fair of children’s book 2008 investigating posture of child visitors to the book fair and its activities. The results of the research indicate which of the methods are the most effective and which forms of actions could book fairs use to support child reading.
