Schlieren visualization techniques

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá možností využití šlírové (schlieren) zobrazovací techniky pro obor energetických materiálů. Práce pojednává o tom, co to vlastně technika schlieren je, jak funguje a jak by se data získaná z~pozorování mohla využít pro studium chování rázových vln. Součástí práce jsou popisy možných uspořádání pozorovacích sestav a jednoduché experimenty s~rychloběžnou kamerou. Práce také zmiňuje a vysvětluje techniku schlierenu orientovaného na pozadí, ilustrovanou na experimentu.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the possibility of using schlieren visualization technique for the field of energetic materials. The thesis discusses the details about what the schileren visulalization technique is, how it works and how the data gathered from experiments, using this technique, can be utilized for the study of blast wave behavior while reflecting or bending around an obstacle. The thesis further describes possible observational setups and easy experiments with a high speed camera. Thesis also mentions and explains the background oriented schlieren technique illustrated on an experiment.
