THE TABLE AS A SYMBOL OF THE HOUSEHOLD

Abstract:

Solitér na téma Stůl jako symbol domácnosti se zabývá problematikou rodinných vztahů a zapomenutých tradic. Svým vzhledem a celkovým pojetím se snaží ukázat lidem důležitost dodržování tradic a zároveň připomenout význam stolu v domácnosti. Charakteristickým prvkem díla jsou organické tvary a zvolená technologie výroby, která úzce souvisí s tradicemi. Při experimentování s technologiemi výroby stolu jsem zkoušela odlévat kov do slámy, písku a polystyrenu, abych získal náhodný tvar. Tyto pokusy jsou v podstatě defektem materiálu. Chtěla jsem najít způsob, jak určité vady kontrolovat, abych získala pravidelné vady, které jsem našla ve zvolené výrobní technologii. Technologie odlévání byla zvolena podle tradičního výrobního postupu, a tak vznikla symbióza mezi výrobkem, materiálem a zvolenou technikou, která v mém případě působí jako tradice. Ve všech tvarech si každý člověk nalezne něco, co je mu blízké prostřednictvím vlastním zkušenostem a asociacím. Z hlediska sémiotiky a psychosomatiky dochází k analýze emocionální stránky a pocitů, které v divákovi vyvolávají organické formy navozující pocity klidu, míru a harmonie, což lze interpretovat jako znázornění rovnováhy mezi tělem a myslí a vztahu mezi člověkem a přírodou. Vzhled výrobku zcela závisí na mých myšlenkách, pocitech a vjemech a na tom, co jsem viděla v průběhu svého života. Z inspirace, kterou jsem měla předtím, a z toho, co se děje v mém životě právě teď. Dnes se na projekt dívám z jednoho úhlu pohledu, ale s postupem času a událostí se mé pocity a vjemy mění a s nimi i mé chápání projektu. Použité formy a tvary, například textury a povrchové úpravy, lze také interpretovat jako odraz různých emocí nebo myšlenek.

Abstract:

Solitaire in the subject of the Table as a symbol of the household deals with the issue of family relationships and forgotten traditions. With its appearance and overall concept, it tries to show people the importance of family traditions and reminds people of the importance of the Table in the home. The characteristic element of the work is the organic shapes and the chosen production technology, which is closely related and oriented to traditions. While experimenting with table-making technologies, I tried casting metal into straw, sand, and polystyrene to get a random shape. These attempts are a defect in the material. I wanted to find a way to control certain defects to obtain the regular defects which I created in the chosen production technology. The casting technology was chosen according to the traditional production procedure. And, thus a symbiosis between the product, the material and the chosen technique was created, which in my case acts as a tradition. In each shape, a person finds something close to him due to his own experiences and associations. From the point of view of semiotics and psychosomatics, there is an analysis of the emotional side and feelings that organic forms evoke in the viewer, inducing feelings of calm, peace and harmony. It is being interpreted as a representation of the balance between body and mind and the relationship between humans and nature. To sum up, the appearance of the product depends entirely on my thoughts, feelings, perceptions and what I have seen throughout my life. I was inspired by what I had in my past and by what is happening in my life right now. Today, I look at the project from one point of view, but with the passage of time and the events, my feelings and perceptions changed during creation of the project. The forms and shapes used, such as textures and finishes, can also be interpreted as a reflection of different emotions or thoughts.
