Trends of the consumption of antibiotics in Czech Republic 2004-2008

Abstract:

V první kapitole teoretické části diplomové práce je vysvětlen pojem antibiotikum a tématika s tím souvisejí. Pojednává také o historii antibiotik. V druhé kapitole jsou antibiotika rozdělena podle různých hledisek - chemické struktury, spektra účinnosti, praktického užití. Jednotlivé skupiny antibiotik jsou popsány z hlediska účinků, použití a nežádoucích účinků. Třetí kapitola se věnuje doporučenému používání antibiotik podle Světové zdravotnické organizace. V České republice se této oblasti věnuje Subkomise pro antibiotickou politiku. Dále je zde vysvětlen fenomén antibiotické rezistence a mechanismus jejího vzniku. Ve čtvrté kapitole diplomové práce je popsán Národní program antibiotické politiky České republiky, důvody jeho vzniku a jeho priority. Pátá kapitola je zaměřena na systém Anatomicko-terapeuticko-chemické klasifikace léčiv. Praktická část diplomové práce se zabývá určením trendu spotřeby antibiotik v České republice za vybrané období 2004 -- 2008. Údaje, ze kterých byla práce zpracovávána, byly získány od ústřední pobočky Vojenské zdravotní pojišťovny ČR. Údaje vypovídají, jaké množství léků bylo spotřebováno a jaké množství Kč pojišťovna za tyto léky zaplatila. V praktické části je použito rozdělení antibiotik podle terapeuticko/farmakologické podskupiny na šest podskupin.

Abstract:

First chapter of the thesis is cleared up the term antibiotic and themes which are related. This chapter contains also history of antibiotics. Second chapter involves fragmentation of antibiotics according to different aspects -- chemical structure, spectrum of effectivity, practical use. Individual categories of antibiotics are described according to the aspects of effects, use and unwilling effects. Third chapter consists of recommended use of antibiotics by World Health Organisation and Sub-committee for antibiotic policy in Czech Republic. Further the phenomenon of antibiotic resistance and mechanism of its origin is cleared up in this part of the thesis. National programme of antibiotic policy in Czech Republic and reasons of its origin and its priorities is described in fourth chapter of the thesis. Fifth chapter is focused on The Anatomical Therapeutic Classification System of drugs. The practical part of the thesis is focused on identification tendencies of antibiotic consumption in Czech Republic for tracking period 2004-2008. The data were received from Vojenská zdravotní pojišťovna ČR. The data contains information about quantity of antibiotic consumption and expenses in Czech crowns which were paid by Health Insurance Company. In practical part of the thesis is used fragmentation of antibiotics according to therapeutical/pharmacological subgroup into six subgroups.
