Jáchym Topol, an attempt at a portrait

Abstract:

Diplomantka na základě odborné literatury zmapuje dosavadnı́ postavenı́ Jáchyma Topola v současné české literatuře, a to jak v oblasti poezie, tak prózy. Poté se bude věnovat nejprve analýzám básnických sbı́rek, poté prozaických textů. V rámci jednotlivých žánrů bude postupovat chronologicky a vždy s přihlédnutı́m k dobovému kritickému přijetı́. V rámci analýz bude sledovat jak základnı́ linii tematickou a motivickou, tak také způsoby utvářenı́ veršů či modifikace vyprávěnı́. Na závěr své poznatky shrne.

Abstract:

Based on professional literature, the author will map the current position of Jáchym Topol in contemporary Czech literature, both in the field of poetry and prose. After that, she will first analyze poetry collections, then prose texts. Within the individual genres, she will proceed chronologically and always taking into account the critical reception of the time. As part of the analysis, she will follow the basic thematic and motivic line, as well as the ways of creating verses or modifying the narrative. At the end, she summarizes her findings
