Abstract:
Diplomová práce usiluje o kontextualizaci příspěvků k dějinám umění v rowohltově německé encyklopedii mezi lety 1955-1962. Přibližuje vliv Hanse Sedlmayra na celou řadu. Porovnáním s články o umění v časopise Merkur ze stejného období se snažím o přehodnocení běžného pohledu na tyto publikace, které jsou nahlíženy jako "konzervativní".
Abstract:
This thesis contextualizes the contributions on art in Rowohlts deutsche Enzyklopädie in the years 1955-1962. It explains the influence of Hans Sedlmayr on this publication. The comparison with essays on art in the journal Merkur from the same period aims to revise the usual perspective of these publications, which are considered to be "conservative".
