Selection and preference of sportive information in selected printed medias

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o specifickém vztahu sportu a masových médií, které jsou zastoupeny jihomoravským sportovním redaktorem vybraných tištěných deníků. Teoretická část práce postihuje rozmach sportu do dalších oblastí lidské kultury, popisuje historickou spojitost s hromadnými sdělovacími prostředky, vývoj a důležitost medializovaného sportu. Práce líčí úlohu sportovního novináře, postavení a úskalí profese. V praktické části zkoumá práce, jaké sporty a sportovní informace preferují tištěné deníky v jihomoravském regionu či s jakými nástrahami si musí novinář poradit.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on specific relationships between sports and mass media, which are represented by a South Moravian sports journalist of several newspapers. Its theoretical part describes the expansion of sports into other areas of human culture, summarises historical connections with mass media, and analyses the development and importance of sports in media. The thesis also higlights the point of view of sports journalists themselves, it depicts their role, status and pitfalls of the profession. The practical part examines what kinds of sports and what type of information newspapers in the South Moravian region prefer or which difficulties a journalist must cope with.
