The risk of arsenic in northern Bohemia

Abstract:

Tato práce Vás úvodem seznámí s fyzikálně- chemickými vlastnostmi arsenu, s jeho výskytem, se zdroji a s využitím. Těžištěm práce je negativní vliv arsenu na zdraví lidí a životní prostředí. V podkapitole Vliv na zdraví člověka se čtenář seznámí se všemi cestami příjmu, tedy příjmu vodou, ovzduším, potravinami, přes kůži a ústy a také se dozví o toxikokinetice arsenu v lidském těle. Následně jsou vypsána onemocnění způsobená arsenem. V praktické části jsem se věnovala sběru dat, jako jsou koncentrace arsenu v jednotlivých složkách životního prostředí a statistickými daty úzce souvisejícími s rizikem arsenu na vybraném území severních Čech. Tyto statistické poznatky jsem pro přehlednost dosadila do grafů. Celá práce končí zkoumáním platností hypotéz, jejich vyhodnocením a zjištěním pravděpodobného působení arsenu v severních Čechách. V diskuzi jsem se zamyslela nad vybádanými výsledky a navrhla eliminaci výskytu arsenu v nejvíce ohrožených složkách životního prostředí a také eliminaci vlivu na zdraví lidí.

Abstract:

This thesis introduction you in the beginning of work with the physico-chemical properties of arsenic, with its occurrence, sources and uses. The focus of the work is the negative effect of arsenic on human health and the environment. In the chapter The impact on human health, the reader can read about all the income ways, that income water, air, food, skin and mouth and also reader can read about the toxicokinetics of arsenic in the body. Further listed diseases caused by arsenic. In the practical part I focused on data collection, such as arsenic concentrations in individual environmental and statistical data, which are closely associated with the risk of arsenic in the selected area of northern Bohemia. I installed these statistical knowledge to the charts for clarity. The whole work ends by examining the validity of hypotheses, their evaluation and finding of probable exposure to arsenic in northern Bohemia. The discussion is then drafted to eliminate the occurrence of arsenic in the most vulnerable parts of the environment and the proposed elimination of the impact on human health.
