Business Cycle Synchronization - The Case of Selected Economy

This bachelor thesis investigates business cycle synchronisation between eurozone countries and candidate countries, using various econometric tools. Firstly, pairwise and cross-correlations of the cyclical components of the GDP are calculated, where these are extracted using first differences and the Hodrick-Prescott filter. V tejto bakalárskej práci sa zaoberám synchronizáciou hospodárskych cyklov medzi eurozónou a kandidátskymi krajinami. K tomuto účelu využívam viaceré nástroje ekonometrickej analýzy. Najskôr počítam párové a krížové korelácie cyklických zložiek reálneho HDP, pričom tieto zložky získam použitím prvých diferencií a Hodrick-Prescott filtra.
