Conductive materials for ESD protection

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na rozbor dnes dostupných ochran proti ESD a nových ESD ochran, tvořených pomocí vodivých polymerů s vlastní vodivostí, jejich využití, požadavků pro ESD ochrany a měření různých elektrických vlastností vybraných polymerů. Popisuje obecně polymery, jako jsou polyacetylen, polyetylen, polypropylen nebo polymetylmetakrylát, které jsou v normálním stavu izolanty, ale mohou sloužit jako polymerní matrice pro kompozity nebo po modifikaci i jako konjugovaný vodivý polymer. Dále popisuje výrobu vodivých polymerů, kompozitních či konjugovaných. Konjugované polymery se dále dopují dalšími chemickými prvky či sloučeninami, které polymeru odebírají či přidávají volné elektrony a tím umožňují nastavit jeho požadovanou vodivost. Následující kapitola této práce pojednává o možnostech a metodách depozice vodivých polymerních materiálů a poslední část práce je praktická. Jde o měření elektrických vlastností vybraných polymerů s různými chemickými stavbami, shrnutí výsledků a vyvození závěrů, který polymer je vhodný pro určitou aplikaci.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the analysis of conductive polymers available today, their use and requirements for ESD protection and measurements of various electricalproperties of selected polymers. Describes common organic polymers such as: polyacetylene, polyethylene, or polymethyl- methacrylate, which are insulators in the normal state. Thesis also describes the production of conductive polymers, which are designed for conjugated polymers (regular alternation of single and double bonds). Conjugated polymers are further doping other chemical elements or compounds that are added or withdrawn polymer free electrons and thus allow the different conductivity. The following chapter discusses the possibilities and methods for deposition of conductive polymer materials and the last part is the measurement of electrical properties of selected polymers with different chemical structures, a summary of the results and draw conclusions that the polymer is suitable for a particular application.
