Objectification System of Limb Rehabilitation

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřením na průzkum současně užívaných technik návrhu systémů, které za účelem měření pohybu či polohy využívají integrovaných akcelerometrů, gyroskopů nebo magnetometrů. Této studie je v práci využito při návrhu systému pro objektivizaci pohybu lidských končetin v rámci jejich rehabilitace, kde se užívá jak integrovaných senzorů vybraného mikropočítače, tak i komponenty technologie Bluetooth pro zasílání měřených dat do navržené multiplatformní aplikace, která je zpracuje a vizualizuje. Zde je uživateli k dispozici nabídka cviků zaměřená na jednotlivé končetiny a odpovídající animace pro sledování rozsahu jejich pohybu v reálném čase. Práce má formu studie principů běžně užívaných integrovaných senzorů s realizací v podobě návrhu vhodných komponent, výběru technologií a vlastní implementace. Dále je rozšířena o porovnání referenčních technik s individuálně navrženým řešením.

Abstract:

A diploma thesis that describes the research of currently used techniques encapsulating the development of motion observation systems that use integrated inertial measurement units (IMUs), which rely on combinations of accelerometers, gyroscopes or magnetometers. This research serves as a base of human limb rehabilitation system, which is dependant on these integrated sensors of a selected microcomputer and uses Bluetooth technology in order to send measurement data to individually designed cross-platform application that manages its processing and provides visualization. Application users choose from a list of exercises constructed for multiple body parts and observe the movement results in real time via corresponding animation. The thesis has a form of a study related to commonly used integrated sensors and an individual work that involves the design of suitable system components, choosing between possible technologies and measurement system implementation. It is also extended by an investigation and comparison of various methods and individually designed solution.
