Midwife as pregnant woman and woman in childbirth

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem bakalářské práce bylo zjistit, jak prožívaly porodní asistentky své těhotenství a porod a jak je zkušenosti z tohoto období ovlivnily v přístupu ke své profesi a v postoji k rodícím ženám. Metodika: Výzkumný soubor tvořilo pět porodních asistentek, minimálně jednou rodící, pracující na porodním sále ve Fakultní nemocnici v Ostravě. Průzkum byl realizován v období leden 2018 Ůaž březen 2018 pomocí polostandardizovaného rozhovoru.Druhá polovina rozhovorů byla uskutečněna v měsících červen a červenec 2018. Dvě porodní asistentky, účastnice průzkumu, byly vybrány metodou Sněhové koule. Výsledky: Šetřením bylo zjištěno, jak se zkušenosti z praxe porodních asistentek promítaly do období jejich těhotenství a porodu. Dále, zda tyto ženy pociťovaly obavy ze svého těhotenství, jak následně prožívaly období samotného porodu, a zda zkušenosti z vlastního těhotenství a porodu ovlivnily jejich profesi v budoucnosti. Byly zjištěny rozdíly vztahující se jak k obavám před otěhotněním, tak k obavám v průběhu těhotenství. Dále porodní asistentky uváděly rozdílné odpovědi v prožívání první a druhé doby porodní. Toto období bylo u většiny porodních asistentek z velké části ovlivněno přístupem zdravotnického personálu, se kterým se porodní asistentky znaly. Následně uvedly shodné odpovědi týkající se přístupu k profesi a k rodícím ženám po prožití vlastního těhotenství a porodu. Závěr: Díky zkušenostem a zážitkům z období vlastního těhotenství a porodu přistupují porodní asistentky ke své profesi jinak - v pozitivním slova smyslu, a to především, co se týče postoje k rodícím ženám, do kterých se dokážou lépe vcítit, být jim oporou a svým profesionálním chováním jim usnadnit toto náročné období.

Abstract:

Purpose: The bachleor thesis was to find out, how a midwife experienced their pregnancy and childbirth and how the experience of this period has influenced in their approach to their profession and in the attitude towards native women. Methodics: The research group consisted of five midwives, at least once born, working in the delivery room at the University Hospital in Ostrava. The survey was conducted between January 2018 and March 2018 using a semi-standardized interview. The second half of the interviews took place in June and July 2018. The two midwives, survey participants, were selected using the Snowball sampling method. Results: The survey found how experience from midwifery practice was reflected in the period of her pregnancy and delivery. Furthermore, whether these women felt worried about their pregnancy, how they were experiencing the period of childbirth, and whether experience from their own pregnancy and childbirth affected their profession in the future. Differences have been identified regarding both prepregnancy and worrying concerns during pregnancy. In addition, midwives reported different responses to the first and second delivery periods. This period was largely influenced by the approach of the medical staff with whom the midwives were familiar with most midwives. Subsequently, they gave identical responses to access to the profession and to native women after having undergone their own pregnancy and childbirth Conclusion: Thanks to the experience and experience of the period of pregnancy and childbirth, midwives have a much better approach to their profession, especially in terms of attitudes towards nascent women, which they can empathize with, and with their professional behavior, facilitate their difficult times.
