The role of women in terrorist organizations

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá rolí žen v teroristických organizacích, a to především se zaměřením na činnost černých vdov. Klade si za cíl zjistit příčiny, jež vedou ženy ke spáchání teroristických činů, a snaží se je popsat a zhodnotit. Pro svou práci jsem zvolila metody literární rešerše, analýzu, komparaci a dedukci. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a analytickou část, návrhy a doporučení. V teoretické části je popsán terorismus, jeho definice, metody a jsou zde zmíněny i nejznámější organizace, které využívají ženy. V analytické části je v první kapitole přiblížen konflikt rusko-čečenské války a dále podrobněji rozebrán. Další kapitoly se věnují samotným černým vdovám, a to příčinám a motivům, které vdovy vedly k sebevražedným útokům, ale i taktikám, cílům a prostředkům, které ženy použily při útocích. V závěru práce jsou uvedeny návrhy a doporučení.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the role of women in terroristic organizations, mostly with the focus on the activities of Black Widows. Its objective is to find out the reasons which lead women to commit terrorist acts and tries to describe and evaluate them. For my thesis I have chosen the methods of literary research, analysis, comparison and deduction. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and analytical part, suggestions and recommendations. In the theoretical part is described the terrorism, its definition, methods and furthermore there are mentioned the most known organization using women. In the analytical part is in the first chapter clarified the conflict of Chechen-Russian war and further discussed in more detail. The next chapters deal with the Black Widows themselves that meaning reasons and motives which led widows to suicidal attacks but also tactics, aims and tools used by women during the attacks. In the conclusion of the thesis are listed suggestion and recommendations.
