The influence of the order of lactation on behavior and milk production of Holstein cattle

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci byl zhodnocen vliv pořadí laktace na chování a mléčnou užitkovost dojnic holštýnského skotu. V rámci bakalářské práce byl proveden pokus ve stáji v Násedlovicích, konkrétně v roce 2020, a to ve dvou obdobích (léto a zima). Pokus byl zaměřen na chování dojnic (stojící x ležící; preference levého a pravého boku) a vybrané parametry mléčné užitkovosti jako dojivost (kg mléka), pořadí laktace (n) a fáze laktace (dny). Při zhodnocení vlivu pořadí laktace na chování dojnic bylo zjištěno, že dojnice více stály, než ležely, při ležení pak preferovaly levý bok (p < 0,01). V rámci mléčné užitkovosti byla zjištěna nejvyšší dojivost u dojnic na 3. laktaci (32,3 kg mléka), naopak nejnižší u dojnic na 1. laktaci (23,4 kg mléka). Tento rozdíl by vysoce průkazný (p < 0,01). Dalším hodnoceným faktorem byl vliv ročního období na chování a mléčnou užitkovost. Dojnice v létě i v zimě více stály, než ležely, při ležení pak preferovaly opět levý bok (p < 0,01). Průměrná dojivost byla vyšší v létě (33,2 kg mléka) než v zimě (24,4 kg mléka). Tento rozdíl byl vysoce průkazný (p < 0,01).

Abstract:

In this bachelor thesis the author evaluated the influence of the order of lactation on behavior and milk production of Holstein cattle. An experiment in the cow barn Násedlovice was carried out. The data were collected in 2020 during two visits of the cow barn (summer, winter). The experiment was focused on behavior (standing x lying down, preference of the left and right side) and selected parameters of milk production such as milk yield (kg milk), order of lactation (n) and phase of lactation (days). When evaluating the influence of lactation order on behavior, it was found that individuals were standing more, and when lying down, they preferred the left side more often (p < 0,01). In terms of milk yield, the highest average milk yield was in dairy cows in the third lactation (32,3 kg of milk). On the contrary, the lowest value was in the first lactation (23,4 kg of milk). This difference was statistically significant (p < 0,01). Another factor evaluated was the influence of the season on behavior and milk production. Cows were standing the most during both seasons, and when lying down, they preferred the left side (p < 0,01). The average milk yield was higher in summer (33,2 kg of milk) than in winter (24,4 kg of milk). This difference was statistically significant (p < 0,01).
