Folklorní hnutí ve Vsetíně i v jiných částech tehdejšího Československa bylo velmi ovlivněno druhou světovou válkou, následným osvobozením a zvláště padesátými léty 20. století. The folklore movement in Vsetín as well as in another parts of previous Czechoslowakia was influenced by the World War II.,the following liberation and particularly by 1950s.
