Role of the Committee of the Regions in the institutional structure of the EU

Anotace:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Role Výboru regionů v institucionální struktuře EU“ je analýza pozice Výboru regionů z hlediska její důležitosti mezi dalšími institucemi EU. Důležitost je hodnocena ve třech rovinách – rovina formálních pravomocí Výboru regionů, rovina neformálních procesu ovlivňující faktické postavení Výboru regionů a rovina názoru vlastních členů Výboru regionů. Společně tyto tři rovina analýzy formují komplexní obraz pozice Výboru regionů v institucionální struktuře EU.

Abstract:

The goal of the submitted thesis: “Role of the Committee of the Regions in the institutional structure of the EU” is to analyze the importance of this institution in comparison to other EU institutions. The importance of Committee is evaluated from three different perspectives – perspective of formal powers of Committee of the Regions, perspective of informal processes, which defines to a certain level position of Committee in the institutional structure and perspective of point of view regarding the importance of Committee of members. Together, all these perspectives, create a coherent picture of role of the Committee of the Regions in the EU.
