Decentralized callibration methods comparison

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou kalibrace senzorů v nekontrolovatelném prostředí. Hlavním cílem práce je srovnání kalibračních metod. Součástí je také popis problematiky kalibrace senzorů a analýza již existujících řešení, včetně srovnání vybraných kalibračních metod. Po analýze je proveden soupis požadavků, které budou kladeny na hardware a software měřicích stanic. Na základě sepsaných požadavků následuje výběr hardwaru potřebného pro následující sestavení měřicích stanic. Dále také návrh desky plošných spojů, na které bude osazen mikrokontroler a periferie nutné pro provoz a budoucí měření. Výběr obsahuje i referenční platinové měřidlo teploty, podle kterého se bude hodnotit úspěšnost kalibrace a odchylka jednotlivých měřicích stanic od referenčního měřidla. Výsledkem je sestavená funkční měřicí stanice, která využívá ke komunikaci LoRaWAN síť komunikující v bezlicenčním pásmu 868 MHz. Závěrem je provedena kalibrace v různých prostředích vybranou kalibrační metodou a zhodnocení výsledků kalibrace. Následně je vyzkoušena referenční, poloslepá a slepá kalibrační metoda. Z těchto metod byla nejúspěšnější metoda referenční a poloslepá. Slepá metoda nedosahovala uspokojivých výsledků.

Abstract:

The problem of sensor calibration in an uncontrolled environment is the main topic this thesis deals with. The main objective of the thesis is to compare calibration methods. It also includes a description of sensor calibration issues, as well as an analysis of existing solutions, including a comparison of selected calibration methods. After the analysis, an inventory of the requirements that will be placed on the hardware and software of the measuring stations is constructed. Based on the written requirements, the selection of the hardware needed for the following set-up of the measuring stations follows. Furthermore, the design of the circuit board on which the microcontroller and peripherals necessary for operation and future measurements will be mounted. Selection also includes a reference platinum temperature gauge against which the success of the calibration and the deviation of the individual measuring stations from the reference gauge will be evaluated. The result is a functional measuring station that uses a LoRaWAN network communicating in the licence-free 868 MHz band for communication. Finally, calibration in different environments with the selected calibration method and evaluation of the calibration results are performed. A reference, semi-blind and blind calibration methods were tested. A reference and semi-blind methods were the most successful ones. Blind method did not achieve satisfactory results.
