Panorama of Spanish Homosexual Literature in the 20th Century

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create an overview of the most significant authors and works that concern the theme of homosexuality in Spain in the 20th century. The thesis further provides a biefer look into the periods that enclose said century, and it also touches the topic of the evolution of (homo)sexual identity and its presence in literature. The practical aspect of the thesis includes a more detailed view of the works by the avant-garde author Federico García Lorca and the contemporary poet Juan Antonio González Iglesias, their brief analysis and comparison, especially in the field of openness on the topic of homosexuality.

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je vytvořit přehled nejvýznamnějších spisovatelů a děl zabývajících se homosexuální tematikou ve Španělsku ve 20. století. Práce dále poskytuje stručnější nahlédnutí do období, která zmíněné století obklopují, a rovněž se dotýká tématu vývoje (homo)sexuální identity a jeho přítomností v literatuře. Praktický aspekt práce zahrnuje detailnější pohled na díla avantgardního autora Federica Garcíi Lorky a současného básníka Juana Antonia Gonzáleze Iglesiase, jejich stručnou analýzu a srovnání, a to zejména v oblasti otevřenosti v tématu homosexuality.
