Traditional Shrovetide Processions of the Hlinecko Area

Abstract:

Masopustní obchůzky ve vesnicích Studnici, Hamry, Vortová a Blatno jsou součástí obyčejové tradice, která spontánně uchovala v aktivním povědomí a je dosud praktikována. Obchůzky se konají na konci zimy v období zvaném „Masopust“. Ačkoli se masopustní obchůzky konají všude po České republice, ve čtyřech vesnicích v okolí Hlinska existují téměř v nezměněné podobě a kvůli jejich jedinečnosti byly zapsány na zastupující seznam nehmotného kulturního dědictví lidstva, 16. 11. 2010 v Nairobi. Cílem mé práce je přinést kompaktní informaci o významu masopustních obchůzek a zvyků v hlavní formě od historie doposud. Moje práce obsahuje zdokumentování a zhodnocení faktu, že i v současnosti mají masopustní tradice v životě obyvatel na Hlinecku své místo a jsou součástí společenského života. Třebaže masopustní obchůzky jsou pochopitelné jako atraktivní a humorné přehlídky, nejsou organizované a ovlivněné folklorem, ale konají se přirozeně jako součást životního stylu místních obyvatel. Má bakalářská práce je založená na studiích zvláštní literatury o výzkumu terénu mezi lidmi a na kvalitativním sběru dat.

Abstract:

Mardi gras festivals in villages Studnice, Hamry, Vortová and Blatno are part of customary tradition which spontaneously held in our awareness and is still alive. The act of the festival is constant it takes place at the end of winter and is called „Masopust“. All though the festivals are held all over the Czech Republic, in four villages in the surroundings of Hlinsko they are still alive nearly in the original form and because of their uniqueness they have been put on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity , on 16. 11. 2010 in Nairobi. The aim of my work is to bring compact information about the the importance of carnivals and customs in the general form history up to now. My work deals with providing evidence and evaluating the fact, that even today these carneval traditions have their role in the lives of people in the Hlinecko microregion and are part of social life. Even though the carnivals are understood as attractive and humorous shows, they are not organised and influenced by folklore, but they are run naturally as part of local people’s life style. My bachelor work is based on studies of special literature on terrain research among people and on qualitative data collecting.
